CivicLens Taiwan

What this site does

CivicLens Taiwan (全民監督) records two things side by side: what Taiwan's government publishes, and what it does not. Every entry carries a data-status table in which each field is marked PUBLISHED, PARTIAL or NOT_PUBLISHED. The accumulated gap rate is itself the story.

Current coverage: 42 entries — Procurement 16, Judicial 5, Official Expenses 15, Food & Drug Safety 2, Environmental Governance 4. Of 175 checked fields, 85 are not published (48.6%).

Method

• Every number carries its source: Control Yuan (監察院) correction cases and investigation reports, National Audit Office (審計部) review reports, laws and official gazettes, and government press releases.
• “Not published” is not “does not exist”, and “we could not find it” is stated as such. The three are never mixed.
• Amounts are never double-counted; reductions are tracked separately from additions.
• Citizen submissions remain labelled UNVERIFIED (a first-person statement, not a finding).
• Corrections are public: every fix is logged and version-controlled (git).
